Film Friday #3

Last spring I got an Instax Mini 8 and have been shooting pack after pack in colour and black and white. That calls for an instant film edition of Film Friday, I think. Here are some of my favourites so far, all of which have been taken directly at or close to the lake near my home.

Have a good weekend!

Is it fall yet?

September is this short window of time when it’s not summer anymore but fall hasn’t fully arrived either. It’s usually a month that makes for amazing light, especially in the early mornings. This series of photos was taken last September on the roof terrace of our building on the morning after a party — just as the sun emerged from behind the mountains in the distance to bathe everything in its soft glow.
Good Morning, Bochum!

Film Friday #1

I decided to start posting film photos on Fridays in the hopes of sharing my film photography more regularly in this blog. So here are the first five pictures; they were all taken with 35mm format cameras and they all incorporate the color blue in some way or another.

Reading Howards End
A dark and rainy December morning, drinking Earl Grey tea and reading Howards End by E.M. Forster.

Untitled
A warm autumn afternoon spent walking and finding little treasures.

Good Times
Having a really good time with friends at the lake one hot summer day.

Desk
My desk, prepared for studying for my final exams back in 2015.

Awake & Dreaming
The best thing about my apartment is the view outside my window, especially on early winter mornings.
